Welcome to Penpont Wedding and Events Venue
Soulful Weddings in the Heart of Bannau Brycheiniog
Gather beneath the wisteria, dip in the river, and dance beneath the stars.
Set on the banks of the River Usk, Penpont is one of Bannau Brycheiniog’s most enchanting wedding venues. This historic estate has been home to the same family for more than 400 years and continues to host only a small number of deeply personal celebrations each year. Weddings here are grounded in nature — shaped by the land, the season, and the spirit of the people who gather.
The Grade II* listed Stables form the heart of the venue. Restored with care, they offer a relaxed, atmospheric space for your ceremony and reception. From the Hayloft upstairs, perfect for evening dancing, to the courtyard below — ideal for BBQs, fire bowls, and street food — every space invites connection and joy. The beautiful Bettws Church, surrounded by ancient yews, lies just a short stroll away for couples wishing for a traditional ceremony.
For smaller celebrations, Little Weddings at Penpont offer an intimate setting for up to 30 guests, with the Hayloft or Drawing Room licensed for ceremonies and The Stables providing a charming reception space.
Weddings at Penpont unfold over an entire weekend, allowing time to slow down and soak up the magic. Enjoy garden drinks on Friday, gather under wisteria for your ceremony, feast and dance in the courtyard, then wake to a river sauna on Sunday.
Penpont’s ethos is rooted in sustainability and care for the environment. The estate runs on renewable energy, embraces local food and organic produce, and works to restore the landscape through its pioneering Penpont Project — bringing people and nature together for a better future.
