Cambrian Escapes, Sky Loft
Sky Loft sleeps two in a converted hayloft within a 19th-century stone barn at Penstacan, near Cilycwm and Llandovery. It looks towards the Cambrian Mountains, with walks from the door through the surrounding hills and valleys. The cottage welcomes couples and solo visitors, but does not accept pets.
The open-plan interior has antique furniture, a large work table for writing or creative projects, and a double cabin bed beside a stained-glass window. The kitchen has wooden worktops, Delft tiles, a Belfast sink and an electric oven. There is a long enamel bath in the bathroom, with mahogany panelling and hand-painted wallpaper.
A private balcony and small garden provide space to sit outside, with an outdoor wood-burning stove for cooler evenings. Dark skies make this a place to watch the stars when conditions allow. Inside, there is heating, Wi-Fi and a working 1920s gramophone with records. Check availability and any particular access requirements directly with Cambrian Escapes before booking.
