Welcome to Aber Cottages, Bryniau Pell

Bryniau Pell is a converted barn at Aberhyddnant, a 200-acre organic hill farm near Crai in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. It sleeps six guests plus two infants in three bedrooms and a separate nursery, with views towards Fan Gyhirych. Hill Cottage is the farm’s other self-catering property.

The cottage has an open-plan kitchen and sitting area with oak floors and a wood-burning stove, plus a separate lounge and dining room. The super-king bedroom can be arranged as a twin on request and has an en-suite wet room with grab rails. Upstairs are a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, the nursery and a bathroom with a bath and shower over.

Although there is a ground-floor bedroom, internal steps lead between the kitchen, lounge and bedroom, and the farm has sloping ground. Read the owner’s access statement and discuss your needs before booking. The utility room has a washing machine and dryer, and bed linen, towels, heating and logs are included. Wi-Fi, EV charging and off-road parking for three cars are available.

Outside are an enclosed garden, seating, a play area and access to a campfire site. Cots, high chairs, a stair gate and a fireguard are available for families. Explore the farm and surrounding walking routes, ask about organic farm produce, or use the telescope for stargazing on clear nights.

Bryniau Pell does not accept pets; Hill Cottage is the pet-friendly option. Ask about reduced-occupancy stays, short breaks or booking both cottages together. Use the owner’s availability calendars to request a booking; the owners will contact you to confirm it and explain the payment arrangements.
