Tramway Coffee Shop, Beacon Park Boats
A canal-side stop in Llangattock
Tramway Coffee Shop is at the Beacon Park Boats wharf in Llangattock, near Crickhowell. Stop for refreshments beside the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal while walking, cycling or boating in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park.
There is indoor and outdoor seating, including sofas beside the wharf. The menu includes hot toasties, freshly baked cakes, pancakes, ice cream, milkshakes and hot and cold drinks. Coffee is made with freshly ground Morrillo beans.
Board games are available, and duck food can be bought for feeding the local mallards. Children should be supervised beside the water.
Check the café’s website for current opening times and the menu. The same page gives directions from the towpath: the route at bridge 114 has steep steps, while the alternative via bridge 115 uses a slope and local roads.
Pedestrians enter through the pedestrian gate; check the current access instructions before visiting. If you need vehicle access, call the team on 01873 858277 so they can let you through.
