Welcome to Ty Newydd Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast
Tranquil Farmhouse Retreat in the Brecon Beacons
Ty Newydd B&B is a welcoming and peaceful farmhouse, just four miles south of Brecon, ideally placed for exploring Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. Set beside the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, guests are treated to views of colourful boats passing by, with Pen y Fan rising in the distance.
The farmhouse offers four spacious en-suite rooms—three doubles and one twin—sleeping up to eight guests in total. Each has countryside, canal or mountain views, combining traditional character with modern bathrooms and comforts. A cooked Welsh breakfast is served each morning and uses locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Guests can relax in the conservatory or use the drying room after walking or cycling. The separate guest entrance makes it easy to come and go, with the B&B as a base for nearby hills, towpaths and trails.
While Ty Newydd feels wonderfully secluded, it’s conveniently accessed from the A40, with good local pubs and eateries nearby. Walking books, maps, and local information are available on site to help plan your adventures.
Whether you’re here for the outdoor activity, the scenic surroundings, or simply some time away from the noise of everyday life, Ty Newydd offers a warm and restful stay.
