Coed Owen Farm offers two separate group-accommodation choices on a working hill farm near Merthyr Tydfil in Bannau Brycheiniog. Coed Owen Bunkhouse sleeps up to 26 in five bedrooms, while Ysgubor Bach sleeps up to 10 in three bedrooms. Both give groups direct access from the farm onto the mountain, with routes towards Pen y Fan and other places to explore nearby.
Coed Owen Bunkhouse has a large commercial-style kitchen, open-plan dining and communal living space. Bedrooms include two six-bed dormitories, a ten-bed dormitory, a double and a twin. Ground-floor sleeping spaces and an adapted shower and WC are available; discuss your group’s individual access requirements with Molly before booking.
Ysgubor Bach is the smaller converted barn, with a fitted kitchen, living and dining room and wood-burning stove. There is a twin en-suite bedroom downstairs, with another twin room and a six-bed room upstairs. Contact Jack or Netty to check the layout and access arrangements. Wi-Fi is not listed as available at Ysgubor Bach, so check any connectivity needs directly rather than assuming the two properties have identical facilities.
The farm has parking and outdoor space for groups, with barbecue facilities and storage for bikes and canoes. Coed Owen guests also have a separate building with a wood-burning stove. Catering can be discussed in advance. Choose the property that suits your group and use its own calendar or enquiry route; the two listings have different booking contacts.
