Welcome to Glyntawe Outdoor Centre Self Catering

Self-catering at Glyntawe Outdoor Centre gives families and groups a shared base at Pen y Cae in the Swansea Valley, on the southern side of Bannau Brycheiniog. With accommodation for up to 35 and communal spaces for eating and relaxing, it suits visitors who want to organise their own meals and shape their days around the surrounding countryside.

The fully equipped commercial kitchen is central to a self-catered stay. Plan meals together and use the dining room, which seats 40, rather than splitting the group between separate properties. If you would prefer help with some or all meals, ask the centre about breakfast, half-board and full-board options before booking.

Sleeping arrangements include dormitories, smaller rooms and en-suite options across two floors. A shared lounge provides space to gather after a walk or activity, and Wi-Fi is available. Check the floor plan and discuss room allocation and access needs directly with the team so the arrangements suit everyone travelling.

Outside, the walled space has seating and firepits, with wood-fired griddles for outdoor cooking. Dogs are welcome subject to the centre’s current policy. A secure drying room can be arranged for an additional charge, useful for groups bringing wet clothing, bikes, canoes or kayaks; confirm storage and charges when planning your stay.
