Welcome to The Old Laundry (Y Golchdy) at Black Mountain Escapes

Y Golchdy, The Old Laundry, is a compact retreat for two near Llangadog, beneath the western Black Mountain in Bannau Brycheiniog. The former farm laundry has been adapted into a cabin-style stay with its own character, combining a cosy interior with sheltered places to spend time outside.

Inside, a small kitchen and living space with a wood burner provide the essentials for a self-catering break. The sleeping area forms a curtained snug, giving you a place to settle down with a film after a day out. This is an intimate retreat for two rather than a larger holiday cottage, so consider the layout when choosing the right stay for you.

The shower room is private but external: an important practical detail if you prefer all facilities under one roof. A covered veranda gives you space for a morning drink or an outdoor meal, while the private hot tub offers another way to enjoy the setting. These outdoor spaces are a distinctive part of the cabin experience.
