Welcome to Porth-y-Parc
Porth-y-Parc has two self-catering holiday cottages on an organically run smallholding at Llwyndu, on the slopes of Sugar Loaf near Abergavenny. The Old Barn and Ty Gwyn each sleep six in three bedrooms. Fields and National Trust woodland surround the holding, with a footpath towards Sugar Loaf and the town’s shops, pubs and restaurants a short drive away.
The Old Barn has a living, dining and kitchen space with original timbers and a wood-burning stove. A spiral staircase reaches an upstairs double bedroom, twin bedroom and family bathroom. Its third bedroom, the Bat Room, has a king-size bed and en-suite wetroom, reached through a separate entrance from the front courtyard.
Ty Gwyn has two ground-floor bedrooms, one king-size and one twin, sharing a wetroom with a walk-in shower. Its upstairs king-size bedroom has its own bathroom. There is an enclosed south-facing garden, with views towards Abergavenny and the Usk Valley. Compare both cottage pages and discuss your individual access requirements with Pip and Roz before booking.
Both cottages have equipped kitchens, underfloor heating, wood-burning stoves, Wi-Fi, linen and towels, outdoor seating, barbecues and parking for two cars. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement. The smallholding’s paths make it a base for walking; bikes may be brought, but there is no secure cycle storage and the path through the holding is a footpath, not a cycle route.
Each cottage has its own availability calendar. Choose the layout that suits your group, check the dates and contact the owners directly to arrange your stay.
