Welcome to Aber Cottages, Hill Cottage

Hill Cottage is a stone-built Welsh longhouse at Aberhyddnant, a 200-acre organic hill farm near Crai in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. It normally sleeps five, with a sixth sleeping place by arrangement and a cot for an infant. The three upstairs bedrooms are a double, a twin and a smaller twin room normally made up as a single.

Downstairs are a fitted kitchen and dining area, a lounge with a wood-burning stove, and a garden room opening onto the enclosed rear garden. There is a ground-floor wet room with grab rails and an upstairs shower room. The front entrance has steps, with alternative rear access from the gravel garden; read the owner’s access statement and discuss your needs before booking.

Bed linen, towels, heating and logs are included. The cottage has Wi-Fi, EV charging and off-road parking for three cars. Enjoy the garden and countryside views, explore walking routes around the farm or look for stars on clear nights. Ask about organic farm produce and arrangements for bringing horses or ponies.

Dogs and cats are welcome in Hill Cottage and must be kept under control on the working farm. Bryniau Pell is the farm’s other cottage and does not accept pets. Ask about short breaks or booking both properties together, and confirm the bedroom arrangement for your group. Online bookings are provisional until the owners contact you to confirm the stay and payment arrangements.
