Welcome to Fforest Fields Glamping and Yurts

The glamping yurts at Fforest Fields sit beside the Round Lake on a family-run farm near Hundred House and Builth Wells. They offer a way to stay outdoors in the Radnorshire hills without packing a tent or towing a caravan. This is Mid Wales, north of Bannau Brycheiniog, with the farm’s woodland, fields and walking trails available to explore from your doorstep.

Each yurt sleeps up to four, with a double bed and two pull-out futons. Bedding and extra blankets are provided, and a wood-burning stove with a supply of logs warms the space. There are bedside lights and electrical points, so the accommodation combines the shape and feel of a yurt with practical comforts for a short break or longer stay. Guests bring their own towels.

A private kitchen shed has a gas hob, small fridge, cookware and crockery. Outside, there is seating, a picnic bench and a barbecue or firepit, giving you space to cook and eat beside the yurt. Shared shower and toilet facilities include free hot showers and underfloor heating. The farm also has an honesty shop, with a coffee shop and bar operating seasonally.

Trails lead across the 500-acre farm and onto Aberedw Hill, while the spring-fed Long Lake is available for swimming subject to the farm’s safety guidance and conditions. You can spend a day exploring the land or travel further into Mid Wales and Bannau Brycheiniog. The yurts are one part of Fforest Fields: its separate camping and self-catering profiles offer other ways to enjoy the same farm setting.
