Trig Point Adventures
TrigPoint Adventures is led by Dorian Thomas, a qualified Summer Mountain Leader with more than 30 years of hiking experience. He offers guided walks and mountain training across the UK, with a focus on Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons).
Join a scheduled guided walk or arrange a day around your interests and experience. Options include family and friends’ walks, charity challenges and navigation sessions. Along the way, Dorian shares local wildlife, geology, history and stories. Check the current programme for routes and dates.
TrigPoint Adventures is an approved provider of Mountain Training’s nationally accredited Hill and Mountain Skills courses. These two-day, non-residential courses cover planning, navigation, walking skills, clothing and equipment, weather, environmental knowledge and emergency procedures.
Hill Skills is aimed at beginners and needs no previous hill-walking experience. Mountain Skills is intended for walkers moving onto steeper or more remote ground; some hill-walking experience and a reasonable level of fitness are recommended.
Dorian is first-aid qualified, DBS checked and insured, and is a member of the British Mountaineering Council and Mountain Training Association. He is also a Bannau Brycheiniog and Eryri ambassador. Contact him to discuss a suitable walk or course and any particular requirements before booking.
