Welcome to Llangorse Lake Boat Hire and Fishing

Hire rowing boats, paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, pedaloes and fishing boats on Llangorse Lake in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. General boat hire is seasonal, while fishing boat hire is offered throughout the year.

Seasonal availability

General boat hire normally operates at weekends and during school holidays from spring to mid-September. Rowing boats may be available from the shop midweek when conditions are suitable.

Check current opening times and availability before travelling. Boat hire is subject to weather conditions and the operator’s safety decisions.

On the water

Buoyancy aids are supplied with hired craft. Follow staff instructions and the lake’s zoning arrangements, and discuss any support needs before booking. Children under 17 must be supervised by a responsible adult.

Fishing and booking

Fishing is from boats only; bank fishing is not allowed. Check the lake’s permit requirements and current fishing rules before your visit, including exclusion zones and the requirement to return fish unharmed.
