Argoed Lwyd offers instructor-led outdoor activities in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, based at Libanus near Brecon and the slopes of Pen y Fan. Families, individuals, schools and groups can choose from canoeing, caving, rock climbing and abseiling, gorge walking, archery, and guided mountain or waterfall walks. Combination days bring two activities together, such as climbing with gorge walking or caving with a waterfall walk.
Specialist equipment is provided, with walking boots, rucksacks and waterproofs available to borrow. Many sessions are suitable for beginners. Check each activity’s minimum age, adult-supervision requirements, what to bring and current availability before booking. Plans may change with the weather and conditions.
For a longer visit, the centre also offers on-site bunkhouse accommodation. Schools, youth and community groups, families and corporate teams can contact the team about an activity day or a residential package combining activities and a stay. Qualified instructors help participants build confidence and enjoy exploring the National Park together.
