Dragonfly Cottage is one of four self-catering cottages at Ty Newydd Holidays, a welcoming farmhouse courtyard just four miles south of Brecon. With the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal passing nearby and wide views towards Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), it is a well-located base for walking, cycling and exploring the National Park.

Once a coach house, this single-storey stone cottage has been converted to offer four-star Visit Wales accommodation for up to four guests. It has a king-size double room and a twin room, both with oak furniture and bed linen provided, plus a family bathroom with a bath and shower over.

Vaulted ceilings and exposed beams give the cottage character, while the open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area makes it easy to spend time together. There is a wood-burning stove, comfortable seating, a flat-screen TV and Blu-ray player, plus a well-equipped kitchen and washing machine.

Outside, guests have a patio with a table and chairs. There is allocated parking for two cars, secure bike storage and space for one well-behaved dog. WiFi is provided, and an electric-vehicle charging point is available on site for an additional charge.

The canal towpath is close by for walking and cycling, and local pubs, shops and routes into the surrounding hills are within easy reach.
