The Foundry Brecon
The Foundry Brecon
The Foundry is a grassroots music venue, bar and kitchen on Bell Lane in central Brecon. Visitors can come for a band, an open-mic session or another community event, with food and drinks available at the venue. Its changing programme gives both residents and visitors a reason to spend an evening in town beyond the larger festival dates.
The events calendar covers different styles of live music, regular open-mic nights and one-off gatherings. Some events use tickets while others invite an RSVP, so the current listing is the place to check what is on during a visit. The venue can also be hired for private occasions, using its performance and social space in a different way.
The kitchen offers casual food, including sharing dishes and changing specials. At the bar there are draught, bottled and cask beers, spirits and cocktails. That makes it possible to plan a meal around a performance or simply spend time with friends. Menus and arrangements can vary, so it is worth checking what is offered for a particular date.
The main performance spaces and lounge areas are on the ground floor, with an accessible toilet there. Upstairs are workspaces available for different arrangements, including hot-desking. Visitors who need specific access information can check with the venue in advance, particularly if a booking uses the upper floor.
Brecon’s centre is easy to explore before an event, with independent shops, galleries and the canal basin within walking distance. A live-music night at The Foundry can be part of a day in town or an evening after walking in Bannau Brycheiniog, connecting outdoor visits with Brecon’s creative life.
