Welcome to Royal Welsh Show

The Royal Welsh Show is one of the largest and most celebrated agricultural events in Europe, bringing together farming, food, countryside traditions and Welsh culture for four vibrant days each summer. Held at Llanelwedd near Builth Wells in Mid Wales, north of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, the event attracts visitors from across the UK and beyond, making it one of the highlights of the Welsh summer calendar.

Taking place annually in July, the Royal Welsh Show combines world-class livestock and equine competitions with entertainment, shopping, food and rural experiences. Visitors can explore hundreds of trade stands, watch Main Ring displays, discover local produce and crafts, and enjoy a packed programme of activities throughout the showground.

The event offers something for all ages, from traditional countryside demonstrations and horticulture to live music, family attractions and opportunities to meet the farmers, producers and rural businesses that shape Welsh life. Food lovers can sample Welsh produce and regional specialities, while outdoor enthusiasts can discover the latest countryside and farming innovations.

The Royal Welsh Show is ideal for families, farming communities, food and drink enthusiasts, countryside visitors and anyone wanting to experience the atmosphere and heritage of rural Wales on a grand scale. Many visitors combine the show with a longer stay in Bannau Brycheiniog, exploring nearby towns, walking routes and attractions across the National Park.
