Welcome to The Croft – The Pencerrig Collection

Self-catering accommodation near Pontsticill and Bannau Brycheiniog

Tucked away on the edge of Merthyr Tydfil, The Croft is a welcoming self-catering holiday home offering space, comfort and easy access to the outdoors. Ideal for families, friends or small groups, it provides a relaxed base close to the landscapes of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park.

The house sleeps up to seven guests across three bedrooms and is designed for easy, sociable stays. Inside, you’ll find a comfortable living space, a well-equipped kitchen and dining area, and thoughtful touches that make it feel like a home rather than a rental. Large windows and outdoor areas connect the house to its surroundings, giving guests space to unwind after busy days out.

One of The Croft’s real strengths is its location. Pontsticill Reservoir, woodland walks and access routes towards Pen y Fan are all close by, while Merthyr Tydfil offers shops, cafés, restaurants and attractions within a short drive. BikePark Wales, the Brecon Mountain Railway and local activity centres are also nearby, making it a great choice for active breaks as well as slower-paced stays.

Whether you’re planning walking days, cycling adventures or a simple countryside escape with space to relax together, The Croft offers a practical, comfortable base with the flexibility groups appreciate.
