Parkwood Outdoors Dolygaer
Staying at Parkwood Outdoors Dolygaer
Cottage, chalet, lodge and camping stays for families and groups in Bannau Brycheiniog.
Parkwood Outdoors Dolygaer offers a choice of places to stay overlooking Pontsticill Reservoir, near Merthyr Tydfil in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park.
Accommodation ranges from a private cottage and group buildings to glamping pods, tent pitches and campervan pitches. On-site activities can be booked separately; check which options suit your group when arranging your stay.
Dolygaer Cottage
The cottage sleeps up to eight guests in three bedrooms, with one bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and living and dining areas. It has views over the reservoir and is available for dog-friendly self-catering stays.
Dolygaer Chalet
The whole chalet sleeps up to 26, with a mix of room layouts and shared facilities. Two rooms have large wet rooms and are described by the centre as accessible; discuss your specific requirements before booking. Individual rooms and a self-contained two-bedroom apartment are also offered. Kitchen and lounge access depends on the option booked, so check the room details carefully.
Dolygaer Lodge
The lodge sleeps up to 44 in 12 bedrooms, split between two wings. It has large communal areas and is suited to schools, clubs and organised groups. Staff and leader rooms have en-suite showers; other guests use the nearby external shower block. Ask the centre about current catering and group arrangements.
Camping and glamping
Reservoir View Camping has terraced pitches, a wash area and a shower block. Streamside Camping offers an off-grid field reached on foot via a sloped path, with wheelbarrows available for carrying belongings. Campervan pitches and tent-box pitches are also listed on the centre’s booking pages.
Reservoir View glamping pods sleep up to four or five, depending on the pod, with heating, beds and a kitchenette. Dogs are not accepted in the pods, although dog-friendly options are available elsewhere on site. Check the facilities and rules for your chosen stay.
