Glamping and a Shepherd’s Hut near Felin-fach

Argoed Barns offers three individual stays for couples at Talachddu near Felin-fach: the Seren Bach and Seren Mawr glamping domes and a bespoke Shepherd’s Hut. Each sleeps two and has its own private wood-fired hot tub and shower facilities, with views towards Bannau Brycheiniog and the Black Mountains.

The two dog-friendly domes have beds, wood-burning stoves, seating, dining areas and simple cooking facilities, with separate private shower huts. Seren Bach is a 7m dome with a kitchen sink and an apex window for looking at the night sky. Seren Mawr is an 8m dome with a wide picture window.

The dog-free Shepherd’s Hut is bed-and-breakfast accommodation, not self-catering. It has a full-length bed, an en-suite wet room, a wood burner and underfloor heating. A continental breakfast hamper is delivered each morning, and outside are private decking, a swing seat and outdoor cooking facilities.

The surrounding countryside offers walking and cycling, while nearby Brecon has shops, cafés and places to explore. Back at your accommodation, the open hillside is a good setting for enjoying the night sky when conditions allow.
