Welcome to Glanusk Estate, Fishing

Fishing on the River Usk

Glanusk Estate offers day-ticket trout and salmon fishing on a private stretch of the River Usk near Crickhowell, in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. The fishery covers around five miles of river with access to both banks and a choice of beats through the estate’s parkland.

The water includes runs and pools for anglers to explore, with the Black Mountains and Usk Valley around you. Guides, ghillies and tuition are available on request for individuals and groups. Contact the estate office to discuss experience levels, dates and the most suitable arrangements.

Fishing is seasonal and subject to river conditions and current fishery rules. Glanusk operates catch and release for salmon and sea trout. Check the permitted methods, available beats and any restrictions with the team before your visit rather than relying on older price lists or season information.

The estate provides beat maps and designated parking areas. Ask about access to your booked beat and use the parking arrangements advised for the conditions on the day. Riverbanks can be uneven, so discuss any access needs with the team before booking.

Fishing can be combined with the estate’s self-catering accommodation or caravan park, subject to separate bookings and availability. Crickhowell is nearby for food, shops and other places to stay, with walking routes and outdoor activities across the surrounding area.
