Welcome to The Angel, Abergavenny – Stay, Eat and Celebrate

The Angel in Abergavenny brings together hotel stays, the Oak Room restaurant and Foxhunter Bar, wedding and event spaces, and the nearby Angel Bakery. Part of the House of Caradog, it offers several ways to spend time in this market town close to Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. Stay at The Angel Hotel on Cross Street, with a choice of rooms and suites and places to eat within the hotel. Discuss bed arrangements, children’s extra beds and access requirements before booking. The hotel has no ground-floor bedrooms; a lift serves the first and second floors, and a temporary entrance ramp can be arranged. Dogs are welcome in the Foxhunter Bar and courtyard, but not in guest bedrooms.

Eat in the Oak Room, meet for food and drinks in the Foxhunter Bar, or book the hotel’s High Tea separately. The courtyard is another option when the weather allows. Nearby at 50 Cross Street, The Angel Bakery sells breads, pastries and other baked goods, with a few bar stools inside and benches outside. Its own website provides current Saturday collection orders; bakery enquiries go to the shop rather than hotel reception.

For wedding receptions, private dining, family celebrations and corporate events, the hotel offers the Ballroom, Brecon Room and Cellar. Room capacities depend on the layout and occasion.
