Ty Newydd Self Catering Cottages, Bullrush Barn

A roomy canal-side base near Brecon

Bullrush Barn is one of four self-catering cottages at Ty Newydd Holidays, a farmhouse courtyard four miles south of Brecon. It sleeps up to six and is well placed for walking, cycling and exploring Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, with the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal close by.

The converted stone barn has two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom, plus a family bathroom, a separate shower room and a downstairs cloakroom. This makes it a practical choice for families or friends sharing a break.

An open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting room gives everyone space to spend time together, with a well-equipped kitchen and WiFi. A travel cot and high chair can be provided on request.

Outside, there is an enclosed garden with seating and a barbecue. The cottage has allocated parking for three cars, secure bike storage and space for up to two well-behaved dogs. An electric-vehicle charging point is available on site for an additional charge.

The canal towpath is nearby for easy walks and cycle rides, while local pubs, shops and routes into the surrounding hills are within easy reach.
