Events and Celebrations in the Heart of Abergavenny

In the centre of Abergavenny, The Angel Hotel offers spaces for wedding receptions, private dining, family celebrations and business gatherings. The Georgian hotel is a convenient town-centre base close to Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park.

Choose from the Ballroom, with its own bar and a walled terrace, the Brecon Room or the smaller Cellar. The Ballroom can accommodate up to 144 for a banquet or 200 for a reception; numbers vary with the room layout. The hotel team can help you find the right space for your guest list, whether you are planning a birthday meal, anniversary celebration or wedding reception.

For meetings and corporate events, the hotel offers a choice of room layouts, Wi-Fi and catering. Discuss your plans with the team, including any equipment, dietary or access requirements, and ask about exclusive use if needed.

Guests staying overnight can book the hotel’s rooms and suites. The Oak Room restaurant, Foxhunter Bar and courtyard provide other places to eat and meet, while the hotel’s High Tea has its own booking arrangements. Ask the team about accommodation and dining alongside your event.
