Welcome to Good Day Out – Piggy Walk with a Pignic

Join a small-group walk with pet KuneKune pigs in the Senni Valley near Heol Senni, south of Brecon, in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. Good Day Out’s piggy walks are relaxed, guided experiences for people who enjoy spending quiet time with animals, with up to eight people in a join-in group and private sessions available.

The pigs are free to wander alongside you while you learn about their welfare and life on the smallholding. If the weather and river conditions allow, there may be a chance to paddle with them in the River Senni. The animals’ welfare comes first, so routes and arrangements can change with the conditions.

Choose Piggy Walk with a Pignic for around two hours including a walk followed by drinks and cakes, or Piggy Walk in the Valley for around ninety minutes without refreshments. The pig walks have featured on ITV’s This Morning. Check the current calendar for dates, prices and what is included in the session you choose.

Most visitors are animal-loving adults. Quiet children over ten are welcome with paying adults, and Good Day Out recommends a private session for families with children. Advance booking is essential: this is not a drop-in petting farm. Directions are sent after booking.

Wear wellies or suitable footwear for muddy, sometimes uneven ground, and check the owner’s clothing guidance before your visit. Discuss access or mobility needs in advance. Dogs cannot join the walks, and the owners warn there is no shaded parking for leaving dogs in hot weather. Plan your journey ahead, as there is no nearby bus service.

Gift vouchers are available, and the piggy walks support RetireMutt, which helps retired Dyfed-Powys Police dogs. Good Day Out also offers donkey and sheepdog experiences at other locations, so check the meeting point for each activity if you plan more than one visit.
