Welcome to Camping at Baskerville Hall

Camping at Baskerville Hall puts you in the hotel grounds at Clyro, close to Hay-on-Wye and the Wye Valley. Tents, campervans and caravans have a base for exploring the town’s bookshops and events, heading into the Black Mountains or spending time beside the River Wye. You can make a simple outdoor stay the centre of your visit while having the hotel’s facilities nearby.

The camping area is a short distance from the main building. There is a shower and toilet block, an outdoor washing-up area, fresh-water points and a place to empty a chemical toilet. A limited number of electric hook-ups are available when arranged in advance. Those details matter if you are touring with a van or planning a longer stay, so discuss the type of pitch you need before travelling.

The hotel adds options beyond the campsite facilities. Campers can arrange breakfast through reception in advance, and the hotel offers evening food and a bar. Packed lunches may also be arranged ahead of time for a day out. Its indoor pool and sauna are offered to campers by advance booking, with an additional charge and arrangements that may change; confirm current access directly with the hotel rather than assuming it is included with a pitch.

Clyro is well placed for a varied break. Hay-on-Wye offers bookshops, cafés and a calendar of events; the Wye Valley invites time by the river, while walks in the Black Mountains take you into Bannau Brycheiniog National Park.
