Welcome to Argoed Lwyd

Argoed Lwyd Outdoor Education Centre provides group bunkhouse accommodation near Libanus in Bannau Brycheiniog (the Brecon Beacons). The Farmhouse sleeps 25 in five bedrooms, the Longbarn sleeps 18 in three bedrooms and the linked Annex sleeps 13 in two bedrooms. Hiring the whole centre gives groups up to 56 beds.

The Farmhouse and Longbarn each have a kitchen, dining area and lounge. The Annex adds bedrooms to either building but does not have its own kitchen, dining room or lounge. Other facilities include wood-burning stoves, drying rooms, bike storage, an outdoor cleaning station, patio and gardens. There are no televisions in the bunk rooms. Parking is free but limited, so groups are asked to bring as few cars as possible.

This is a practical base for walking and cycling, with views towards Pen y Fan and the National Park Visitor Centre nearby. Groups can arrange self-catering stays and ask the centre about instructed outdoor activities. Bring your own bedding and towels or arrange bedding hire in advance, and discuss any access requirements before booking.
