Welcome to Beacon Park Boats

Canal boat holidays from Llangattock, near Crickhowell

Beacon Park Boats offers self-catering narrowboat holidays on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, with boats sleeping from two to eight people. Based at Llangattock in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, the company designs and builds its own boats, and its fleet has a five-star Visit Britain grading.

Known as the Mon & Brec, the canal passes through countryside and villages, with places to moor for towpath walks, local pubs and days exploring the surrounding area. Choose a route and length of stay to suit your group, with guidance from the team.

Each boat has its own layout and facilities. Some have wood-burning stoves, a roll-top bath or a hot tub, so check the individual boat details when choosing. First-time boaters receive a safety briefing and practical boat-handling instruction before setting off. Pets are welcome on selected boats; check suitability when booking, as Robin is pet-free.

The company also offers permanently moored houseboats for winter stays. For a shorter visit, Beacon Park Day Boats hires electric boats, cycle boats and canoes from the same wharf, where you will also find the Tramway Coffee Shop.
