Welcome to The International Welsh Rarebit Centre

The International Welsh Rarebit Centre celebrates one of Wales’s best-known dishes from the Old School in Defynnog, within Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park.

The menu includes classic Welsh rarebit alongside more imaginative variations, with seasonal soups, salads, cakes and daily specials offering further choices. The café also hosts changing art exhibitions and sells a selection of local artisan gifts.

It is a welcoming place to stop while exploring Sennybridge and Defynnog, including the nearby Defynnog Yew and St Cynog’s Church.
