Welcome to Climbing and Bouldering at Llangorse Multi Activity Centre

Climbing and bouldering

Llangorse Multi Activity Centre offers indoor climbing and bouldering in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. Book an instructed session if you are new to climbing, or follow the centre’s registration process if you already have the skills to climb independently.

Indoor climbing walls

The centre has top-rope and lead routes, an auto-belay, a children’s area and natural limestone climbing in The Pit. Routes cover slabs, vertical walls and overhangs, with regularly changed climbs for different levels of experience.

Bouldering area

Bouldering takes place at lower heights without ropes. The centre has colour-graded problems, traverse walls and training boards. First-time visitors must complete the required registration and safety induction before using the facilities.

Never climbed before?

Beginner taster sessions, refresher sessions and further courses are available. Instructed family adventures are a separate option. Choose a suitable session with the team and discuss any access or additional support needs before booking.

Experienced climber?

Registration depends on the type of climbing you intend to do. Top-rope, belaying, lead climbing and auto-belay use have specific competence and induction requirements. Check the first-visit guidance in advance; lead climbers must bring their own suitable dynamic rope.

Schools and groups

The centre offers instructed programmes for schools and groups, plus children’s clubs and sessions. Young climbers have specific supervision and consent requirements. Self-instructed or specialist groups should contact the centre to agree arrangements before visiting.

Visit the climbing pages for current courses, registration requirements and opening times. The on-site Base Camp Café serves climbers and other visitors, and accommodation is available through the wider activity centre.
