Brecon Beacons Resort at Dan-yr-Ogof
Brecon Beacons Resort at Dan-yr-Ogof
Brecon Beacons Resort offers self-catering stays beside Dan-yr-Ogof at Abercraf, on the western side of Bannau Brycheiniog. Its stone-and-slate cottages and cottage-style apartments give couples, families and friends a base for exploring the upper Swansea Valley, with the National Showcaves Centre for Wales next door.
Choose accommodation to suit your party rather than treating the resort as one large property. Red Kite, Cribarth and Craig-Y-Nos each sleep two; Crows Nest 1 sleeps three; Pen-Y-Fan and Tawe sleep four; and Crows Nest 2 and Red Dragon sleep six. Pen-Y-Bont Cottage is the larger option, sleeping eight in four bedrooms. Layouts and facilities vary between the individual properties.
The accommodation has fitted kitchens with a cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave, living space and bath or shower facilities. Bed linen and towels are provided. Some properties have a spa bath or sauna, but these are not standard in every cottage. Pet-friendly choices are available; check the allowance for your chosen property, as some do not accept pets.
Shared leisure facilities include a covered heated swimming pool, games room, tennis court, crazy golf and a gym for over-16s. Check which facilities are available for your dates and whether additional charges apply, particularly for the dry ski slope.
A stay places you close to the caves, dinosaur displays and farm attractions, while the surrounding hills offer opportunities for walking and exploring. Accommodation and attraction visits have separate booking arrangements.
