Welcome to Glyntawe Outdoor Centre Bunkhouse

Glyntawe Outdoor Centre’s bunkhouse provides group accommodation for up to 35 at Pen y Cae in the Swansea Valley, on the southern side of Bannau Brycheiniog. It is a base for schools, families, walking parties and other organised groups who want shared spaces alongside a choice of sleeping arrangements.

Ground-floor dormitories offer bunk accommodation, with wet-room facilities nearby. Upstairs there are smaller rooms and en-suite options, as well as a common room with seating for the group. Check the centre’s floor plan and discuss your party’s room allocation before booking, particularly if anyone has access requirements or needs a particular bedroom arrangement.

A fully equipped commercial kitchen makes self-catering possible, while the dining room provides space to eat together. Alternatively, ask about catered stays, from breakfast to half-board or full-board arrangements. The communal lounge offers somewhere to relax and plan the following day, and Wi-Fi is available.

There are outdoor seating areas, firepits and facilities for cooking outside. A secure drying room is available for an additional charge, with space for wet clothing and outdoor equipment. It is worth discussing storage needs and any extras when arranging your group’s stay, rather than assuming every facility is included.

From Glyntawe, your group can explore the surrounding hills and countryside or discuss a programme of outdoor activities with the centre.
