Farm accommodation for riding holidays near Talgarth

Blaenau is the traditional Welsh longhouse at Trans Wales Trails, beside a stream at Blaenau Bach Farm near Talgarth. The farm is the base for riding weekends and midweek breaks, and some longer horseback trails begin and end with a stay here. This is accommodation for riding-holiday guests; contact the team to discuss which stay and riding arrangements suit you.

The converted guest annexe has four rooms, each with an en-suite shower room. Zip-and-link beds can be arranged as twins or super-king doubles, with cotton linen and Welsh blankets provided. A wood biomass boiler heats the house. Ask about your preferred bed arrangement and any access requirements before booking.

Breakfast and dinner are served in the garden room overlooking the stream, and meals are included in the riding holidays based here. The kitchen uses local produce where possible, including eggs from the farm’s hens and home-baked sourdough. Vegetarian, vegan and other dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice. Confirm the meals included in your particular holiday when booking.

Guests can spend the evening in the shared lounge by the wood-burning stove, borrow a book or watch a film. There are walks around the farm and waterfalls nearby. Riding holidays use the farm’s Welsh cobs and are intended for competent riders, so check the experience and other requirements for your chosen ride.

Contact Emily by phone or email, or send a booking enquiry, to discuss dates, rooms and the right riding break. Before setting out, use the operator’s directions rather than relying on the postcode alone.
