The Hiker’s Hub Café at Penderyn Community Centre
The Hiker’s Hub Café at Penderyn Community Centre
The Hiker’s Hub is the café at Penderyn Community Centre, offering breakfast, lighter meals and hot drinks in the village on the southern side of Bannau Brycheiniog. It is a place to pause during a stay nearby, meet up before a day out or take a seated break from exploring the area.
The menu includes small and large breakfasts, smaller bites and jacket potatoes. You can make a meal of the stop or simply call in for a drink. Tables inside the centre provide space to sit together, with the café forming part of a building used for community activities, meetings and local gatherings rather than a separate high-street shop.
Walkers are part of the café’s audience, but you do not need a day on the hills planned to visit. A stop here also fits around time in Penderyn village or a visit to the distillery. Waterfall Country lies in the wider area; allow time for the route you choose rather than treating a waterfall walk as a quick diversion from lunch.
The café opens on selected days. Its live information is the useful place for current opening arrangements and menu details, particularly when planning a group stop. On-site parking and Wi-Fi are available at the centre, and particular dietary or access requirements should be discussed directly before a visit.
The centre also hosts Tŷ Croeso coffee-club gatherings and other community activities, which have their own arrangements. The Penderyn Community Centre overview brings these different uses together, including events and rooms available to hire.
