Camden Lodge B&B offers a peaceful stay just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Brecon, with five well-appointed ensuite rooms on the first floor. Large windows frame views across the town, surrounding countryside and Pen y Fan, while the private car park provides free parking for every room.
Each light and airy room has a super-king-size bed with Egyptian cotton bedding and a spacious ensuite with a large shower; one room also has a bath. Thoughtful touches include Welsh toiletries, fluffy towels, a hairdryer, USB points, blackout curtains, a wall-mounted flat-screen TV and tea and coffee facilities, with fresh milk available on request. Free Wi-Fi and bike storage are also provided.
Breakfast is served from 8am to 9.30am in the bright dining room. Guests can help themselves to fruit, cereal, yogurt and juice before choosing a cooked breakfast, followed by toast and Welsh preserves. Local produce is used whenever possible, the eggs are free range, and dietary or allergen requirements can be catered for with advance notice.
Restaurants, pubs and cafés are within a five-minute walk, and the nearest bus stop is around two minutes away. Brecon’s canal, riverside walks, independent shops and cultural attractions are all close at hand, while the wider Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park is easy to explore. Check-in is from 3pm to 7pm and check-out is by 10.30am.
