Welcome to Staying at The King’s Head

Staying at The King’s Head puts you on Market Square in the centre of Llandovery, with the town’s shops and streets close by and the western Bannau Brycheiniog within reach for days out. The accommodation is part of a coaching inn that also has a restaurant and bar, so a night here can be combined with a meal downstairs without treating the rooms as a separate property elsewhere in town.

There are nine individually furnished en-suite bedrooms. The room choices include a family room and a specially adapted ground-floor room intended to make access easier for guests with disabilities. A full cooked breakfast is included in every stay. The inn also provides free on-site parking and Wi-Fi for guests, with televisions, hairdryers, tea and coffee-making facilities and bottled water in the bedrooms. Individual room layouts can differ, so the inn’s current room information is the right place to choose the arrangement that suits your visit.

Llandovery makes a practical base for exploring the Tywi Valley and this western side of the national park. You can spend time in the town itself, head out for walks or follow routes through Carmarthenshire and towards the mountains. Returning to a room on Market Square keeps food and drink close at hand: The King’s Head’s restaurant uses local produce and offers a main menu, changing specials and Sunday lunch, while the bar serves real ales and other drinks.

The main King’s Head profile connects both offers and points to The Bluebell and Juno’s, two other Llandovery businesses in the wider family. The rooms keep the focus on an overnight visit to Llandovery, with the other family venues there to explore separately.
