Brecon Cathedral
Brecon has a cathedral but is not a city. The former Priory Church of St John became Brecon Cathedral in 1923, when the Diocese of Swansea and Brecon was created. The cathedral is well worth seeking out, with volunteer welcomers available to help visitors explore its history. It remains an important place of worship and community venue, with a varied programme of events throughout the year.
