Wet-felting workshops near Llandovery

Fabulous Feltings offers hands-on wet-felting workshops with textile artist Jane Evans at her riverside studio near Cilycwm and Llandovery in the Upper Tywi Valley. Using wool fibres, soapy water and movement, you can make your own felted samples, picture or small vessel to take home.

Full-day studio workshops are arranged for two to five participants, with materials and a light lunch included. Contact Jane to agree a date and a suitable project. If you are coming on your own, she may be able to pair you with another participant. Mention dietary and access requirements when enquiring.

Experience requirements depend on the project. Beginners should ask Jane which workshop is suitable before booking; more involved work, including some nuno and Shibori feltmaking projects, may need previous wet-felting experience. The focus is on learning the process and developing your own ideas with guidance.

Jane can also discuss workshops at your home, school or community venue, alongside talks and demonstrations for local groups. She creates original felted artwork, wraps, throws, wall hangings and vessels, and welcomes enquiries about available pieces or commissions. Studio visits are by appointment: get in touch before travelling.
