Penderyn Community Centre
Penderyn Community Centre
In Penderyn, on the southern side of Bannau Brycheiniog, the community centre brings together a café, local activities and spaces for people to meet. For visitors, it offers a way to spend time in the village as well as explore the surrounding area: pause over something to eat, join a public event or arrange a gathering of your own.
The Hiker’s Hub café serves breakfasts, light bites, jacket potatoes and hot drinks. It is a separate reason to call in, whether you are staying nearby or planning a day out around Penderyn. The café opens on selected days, so its current arrangements matter when fitting a stop into your visit.
Community events give the centre a different character throughout the year. Activities, workshops and social gatherings bring people into the same shared spaces, with current announcements mainly available through the centre’s Facebook page. The events and room-hire page below distinguishes attending something already organised from arranging your own occasion.
For meetings, training and private events, the main hall can seat up to 80 people or divide into two smaller rooms. Interactive screens, Wi-Fi, on-site parking and catering options support a working day or group gathering. The centre team can advise on the layout and arrangements appropriate to the occasion, including individual access requirements.
Penderyn is also a base for exploring the southern National Park and Waterfall Country. A café stop, village event or meeting here can form part of a wider visit, while the centre remains rooted in the everyday life of its community.
