Welcome to Farmstead and Wild
Accommodation in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park
Farmstead and Wild offers peaceful rural accommodation on a Welsh hill farm, set just outside Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. Positioned on a ridge below open common land, it is ideally placed for walking straight out into wide skies, quiet hills and open countryside.
The accommodation consists of two traditional shepherd’s huts, thoughtfully positioned within meadows and woodland. Each hut provides a comfortable, simple place to stay, with a wood burner and outdoor seating area, making it easy to enjoy time outside throughout the day and into the evening.
From the doorstep, guests can wander through meadows, follow woodland edges or head uphill onto the common land above, where open access walking offers far-reaching views across the surrounding landscape. The location also makes a good base for exploring nearby villages, valleys and market towns within the Brecon Beacons.
As night falls, the area’s low light pollution creates excellent conditions for dark skies. Clear evenings offer the chance to step outside and enjoy star-filled skies, adding to the sense of calm and connection with the natural surroundings.
Farmstead and Wild is well suited to couples, solo travellers and anyone looking for a nature-led stay focused on walking, fresh air and the quieter, softer side of life in Bannau Brycheiniog.
