Welcome to The New White Lion, Bed and Breakfast

Elegant Georgian Retreat on the Edge of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park.

Tucked between the Brecon Beacons and the Cambrian Mountains, The New White Lion offers a luxurious escape in the charming town of Llandovery. This beautifully restored Grade II listed Georgian building, dating back to 1838, has been transformed into a stylish and welcoming retreat, where comfort and heritage sit side by side.

Each of the individually designed rooms is thoughtfully furnished with high-quality linens, elegant touches and supremely comfortable beds – a restful base to return to after days spent walking, cycling or simply enjoying the peaceful rhythms of the surrounding countryside.

The location makes it easy to explore both Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park and the quieter beauty of the Cambrian Mountains. It’s a region that has long attracted artists, dreamers and outdoor enthusiasts, with endless opportunities to hike, cycle or take in the dramatic scenery at a more relaxed pace.

Your hosts Karen, Mark and their friendly spaniel Poppy offer a warm welcome to this characterful house – though please note, guest pets are not accepted. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway or a restorative weekend break, The New White Lion invites you to slow down and truly unwind.
