Welcome to Coed Owen Bunkhouse
Spacious Accommodation in the Heart of the Brecon Beacons
Set on a working farm in the breathtaking Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, Coed Owen Bunkhouse is a thoughtfully converted barn offering modern and spacious self-catering accommodation.
Ideal for groups, the bunkhouse sleeps up to 26 guests, making it perfect for mountain fitness enthusiasts, cyclists, ramblers, and educational groups.
The bunkhouse retains many of its original features, honouring it’s history as a barn for livestock and wool. With it’s roots deeply tied to the Rees family farm, this project was spearheaded by the younger generation to diversify their farming business. Molly Rees notes, “My father’s skills as a stone mason allowed us to create something truly special on the farm.”
Facilities include two six-bed dorm rooms, a ten-bed dorm room, a double room, and a twin room. It also offers fully accessible facilities, including ground-floor bunk beds, a twin room, and a disabled shower and WC. Guests will appreciate the modern amenities in a rustic yet comfortable setting.
Sustainability is at the heart of Coed Owen Farm. The family participates in the Glastir environmental scheme, focusing on protecting wildlife, planting native hedges, and maintaining eco-friendly practices like recycling and reducing waste. Visitors are encouraged to conserve energy and water, while public transport and bike hire are easily accessible for eco-conscious exploration.
Stay at Coed Owen Bunkhouse for a warm welcome, sustainable living, and unforgettable adventures in the Brecon Beacons.
