Welcome to Dan-yr-Ogof, National Showcaves Centre for Wales
Ten attractions, one ticket and a full day to explore
Dan-yr-Ogof, National Showcaves Centre for Wales, brings three showcaves and a collection of family attractions together at Abercraf on the western side of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park.
Follow the visitor routes through Dan-yr-Ogof, Cathedral Cave and Bone Cave. The underground experiences range from the formations discovered by the Morgan brothers to Cathedral Cave’s waterfalls and the archaeological story of 42 human skeletons found at Bone Cave.
Above ground, come face to face with 250 life-sized dinosaurs, including Tyrannosaurus rex, Brachiosaurus and Tsintaosaurus.
Further down the site, meet the Shire horses and farm animals, explore Mr Morgan’s Victorian Farm and see how an Iron Age village was built from timber, straw, bracken and turf. Covered play areas, the museum, Fossil House, stone circles and gold panning add more to the day.
All ten attractions are included in one admission ticket. Check current opening dates, visitor information and ticket availability on the official Dan-yr-Ogof website before travelling.
The centre also has a coffee shop and gift shop. Campsite, caravan and self-catering accommodation are available separately for visitors who want to stay on site.
