Nestled in the Cambrian Mountains on the edge of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, Basel Cottage is an award-winning 5-star retreat. Just 2 miles from Llandovery, this dog-friendly haven is set within 17 acres of stunning Welsh countryside, perfect for families, couples, and solo travellers.

Outside Space:
Step onto the extensive decked terrace for alfresco dining with views over the Afon Bran. There is an enclosed garden for kids and dogs, a stone terrace with a fire pit for stargazing, and private woodland with a rustic cabin to explore.

Activities On Site:
Enjoy the unique 3-hole pitch and putt golf course, book beginners’ archery or air rifle shooting lessons with owner Jonah, or have fun in the games room with table tennis, darts, and more. Croquet is available in summer, and there’s free superfast broadband plus an EV charging point (fees apply).

Internal Space:
The cottage sleeps 4 across two bedrooms, with two bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there’s a cosy living room with a wood-burning stove. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a super king bed and en-suite, while the second bedroom offers flexible sleeping arrangements. A full-size bath and shower are available in the family bathroom.
