Alpaca Trekking Adventures in the Brecon Beacons

For a truly memorable way to explore Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, Alpaca My Boots offers scenic guided treks with a friendly herd of alpacas from their working family farm, just 3.5 miles outside Brecon.

Set off across the stunning Mynydd Illtyd Common to the Iron Age hill fort of Twyn y Gaer, where panoramic views over mountains, valleys and wild open spaces make for a spectacular backdrop. With 360° photo opportunities and the company of your very own alpaca, this gentle mile-long walk is a relaxed and enjoyable way to soak up the landscape.

Before your adventure begins, you’ll receive a friendly introduction to alpaca handling and get to know more about these curious, gentle animals. You’ll then be matched with your alpaca buddy for the trek, with up to 25 alpacas joining at one time.

Treks are suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Families are welcome, though the walks aren’t suitable for pushchairs and are best enjoyed by children aged 3 and up. Babies in carriers are welcome free of charge.
