Talgarth Mill

Talgarth
A springtime view of the waterwheel at Talgarth Mill, seen from upstream through dappled shade

Welcome to Talgarth Mill, Tours and Craft Shop

Talgarth Mill is a restored 18th-century working watermill in the centre of Talgarth, beside the River Ennig. Visitors can follow the water to the wheel and see how grain is milled into wholegrain flour.

Volunteer millers and guides lead tours explaining the mill’s history, restoration and machinery. The experience suits adults, families and groups, while schools can arrange dedicated education visits. Tour availability depends on volunteers and mill operations, so check the live page and book ahead.

The riverside garden is free to enter and offers views of the wheel, leat and river. The Mill site also includes a craft shop selling work by local makers and Talgarth flour; Pobl Bakery and Trigg’s at the Mill operate as their own visitor businesses.
