Welcome to Trans Wales Horseback Trails

Adventures on Horseback with Trans Wales Trails

Embark on a truly unforgettable adventure with Trans Wales Trails, exploring the stunning Black Mountains on horseback. Whether you’re looking for a day ride, a weekend escape, or a longer trail-riding holiday, we offer exhilarating experiences tailored for competent riders (aged 12 and up) who are comfortable at all paces.

Our small groups, typically consisting of 4-7 riders, create a relaxed and sociable atmosphere. Many riders join solo, making this the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded adventurers while taking in the breathtaking landscapes of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

At the heart of Trans Wales Trails are our exceptional Welsh Section D cobs, bred and raised right here on our farm. Registered under the Trans Wales name, these horses range from 14.2 to 16.2hh and are known for their reliability, friendly temperaments, and sure-footedness. As members of our extended family, they are bred for confidence and companionship, having grown up in a close-knit herd of brothers and sisters.

Occasionally, riders fall so in love with their horse that they choose to take it home! While our horses are not regularly for sale, a select few are available for purchase, with prices ranging from £4,000 to £8,000.

For an extraordinary horseback holiday or to learn more about our herd and trails, call us at 07855 967399 or visit our website at transwales.com. We can’t wait to share the magic of riding in the Black Mountains with you!
