Contemporary Art in the Heart of Brecon

Tucked just off the High Street at 1 Bulwark, Found Gallery is a vibrant contemporary art space in the centre of Brecon, showcasing a rich mix of artistic voices. Founded by Punch and James Maughan, the gallery has built a reputation for its welcoming atmosphere and commitment to both emerging and established talent.

Spread across two thoughtfully curated floors, Found Gallery regularly hosts exhibitions in painting, photography, sculpture and mixed media. The lower level often focuses on photographic work, offering a quieter space to explore visual storytelling.

A key part of the gallery’s ethos is supporting new graduates, placing their work alongside that of more seasoned artists, and fostering a lively, inclusive creative community. Found Gallery is also proud to participate in the annual Celebration of Welsh Contemporary Painting, contributing to the wider arts landscape in Wales.

Open Tuesday to Saturday, from March to Christmas, the gallery invites visitors to browse, engage, and, if inspired, purchase through the Own Art scheme – making contemporary art more accessible through interest-free payments.
