Hidden beneath the stunning landscape of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, the National Showcaves Centre for Wales is one of the country’s most impressive and family-friendly attractions. Explore three remarkable caves – Dan-yr-Ogof, Cathedral Cave, and Bone Cave – each with its own atmosphere and story. From grand underground waterfalls to ancient human burial sites, these caves have been 315 million years in the making.
Above ground, the Dinosaur Park features over 250 life-sized models, including T-Rex, Brachiosaurus, and many more – perfect for dino fans of all ages. The Shire Horse Centre is home to gentle giants, a farmyard, crazy golf, and both indoor and outdoor play areas.
Add to this the Iron Age Village, interactive museum, and a chance to learn about our environmental impact, and there’s plenty to inspire curious minds.
On-site facilities include a café, gift shop, and one of Wales’ most scenic caravan and camping parks, powered by eco-friendly hydro and solar energy. Located on the western edge of the National Park, it’s an ideal base for adventure and exploration.
