Through new commissions, insightful talks, and excursions, attendees will examine what his poetry and choral music can offer in a world increasingly shaped by technology

What is the festival about?

Established in 2022, the Brecon Choir Festival aims to unite the rich Welsh choral tradition with emerging choral talents from the UK and beyond. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, the festival offers attendees not only unforgettable concerts but also interactive experiences such as workshops, street singing, discussions, and the renowned Afterglows—lively sessions where participants sing into the night in true Welsh style. Venues range from Brecon Cathedral to ancient friaries and iconic Welsh chapels, placing beautiful spaces at the heart of the experience. Organized by a dedicated team of passionate volunteers, the festival provides unique opportunities for both seasoned choral enthusiasts and newcomers to immerse themselves in the joys of choral singing.
